Sam Kaczur was born in 1991 on the western coast of Canada. As a child she observed her surroundings carefully and analytically; this translated later in her artwork-- changing how she saw the world and in turn directed her vision to photography. Back in 2007 Sam was quoted saying "Art is an emotion. You can't have art without love, anger, loneliness-- you need emotion to make it valuable." That quote defined Sam's work and how in later years she grew on those words, creating deeply emotive photographs that captured the subject's soul with a mature elegance. With support from fellow artists she was able to create her style and kept her goal of natural lighting alive and well. Even today Sam Kaczur strives for perfection and growth, exploring new ideas and reviving the old.
"Aside from being friendly and helpful Sam is, and has been, very professional without being intimidating or rude. I've grown greatly as a model and a lot of credit goes to her." - Micaela
"I am fairly shy in front of cameras, and consider myself quite un-photogenic. It helped a lot that she had a clear vision of what she wanted, saw my potential and was patient with me when I wasn't so sure of how to get there." - Emily
"Her calm and patient approach seems that of a seasoned pro and the ease with which she maneuvers you and the camera is hugely impressive. I am nothing short of thrilled to have had the chance to work with such a talented young artist and have no doubt that Sam Kaczur's future in photography will be filled with the utmost success!" - Helen
"Sam is very talented and creative and knows what she wants as an artist, which makes it easy to model for her as she is very good at directing you without being rude or pushy. She is passionate and professional when it comes to her artwork, and I know she will go far." - Melyssa
